This position is eligible for remote opportunities. There is potential that training may be required at our client's office in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance and integrity of project accounting activities, including cost collection, asset ownership, and settlement rules.
- Create and manage accounting structures and work orders in SAP for approved capital projects.
- Maintain accurate financial data across systems (e.g., SAP, PowerPlan); perform audits, queries, and corrections as needed.
- Support financial forecasting, CIAC postings, and monthly financial reporting with accurate and timely inputs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and support the successful execution of capital and O&M projects.
- Conduct ad hoc financial research and data analysis to support project and business needs.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements of tools and processes, such as the Transmission Forecast Tool.
- Perform other duties as assigned; some travel may be required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor of Science in a finance-related discipline or 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with utility accounting practices
- Familiarity with SAP, PowerPlan, and Transmission GIS.
- Understanding of FERC accounting standards.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- SAP system certification or related training.
- OSHA 10 certification.
