Sound like a familia you're ready to join? Here's the details on what we are looking for in this position:
LUZCO  is seeking a Project Manager to lead earthen embankment, levee, and earthwork projects from planning through closeout. This hybrid role blends field and office work, offering a dynamic mix of hands-on site coordination and strategic project oversight. You’ll manage schedules, budgets, and regulatory compliance with USACE, FEMA, EPA, and OSHA standards, while coordinating geotechnical studies, permitting, and contractor activities. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.

What You'll Be Doing:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
  • Track milestones, monitor expenditures, and review subcontractor invoices and progress payments.

Regulatory & Technical Coordination

  • Coordinate geotechnical investigations, environmental assessments, and permitting processes (USACE, FEMA, EPA).
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and change orders.

Team & Site Management

  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and field staff.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, enforce OSHA compliance, and deliver Toolbox Talks and safety training.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Communication & Reporting
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and performance to clients, regulatory agencies, and internal leadership.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on budget, schedule, and overall project performance.

Project Closeout & Flexibility

  • Manage project closeout activities including punch lists, warranties, and O&M manuals.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and perform other related duties as needed.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in heavy civil or geotechnical construction, ideally involving levees, dams, or earthen embankments
  • Hands-on experience with project management platforms like Procore, Primavera P6, and MS Project
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and compliance; OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus
  • Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to keep teams aligned and projects moving forward
  • PMP certification preferred, or a strong commitment to earning it within your first year
  • Valid driver’s license and a flexible mindset for working in both field and office environments

Salary Expectations:
This role offers a salary range of  $102,000 -$143,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
