Sound like a familia you're ready to join? Here's the details on what we are looking for in this position:

We’re seeking a Project Manager to lead earthen embankment, levee, and earthwork projects from planning through closeout. You’ll manage schedules, budgets, and compliance with USACE, FEMA, EPA, and OSHA standards, while coordinating geotechnical studies, permitting, and contractor activities. This role blends field and office work, requiring strong leadership, organization, and communication.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
  • Coordinate geotechnical investigations, environmental assessments, and permitting processes (USACE, FEMA, EPA).
  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and field staff, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, enforce OSHA requirements, and deliver Toolbox Talks and safety training.
  • Track milestones, monitor expenditures, and review subcontractor invoices and progress payments.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and change orders.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and updates to clients, regulatory agencies, and internal leadership.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports on budget, schedule, and performance.
  • Manage project closeout including punch lists, warranties, and O&M manuals.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and perform other related work as required.

What We're Looking For:
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in heavy civil or geotechnical construction, ideally with earthen embankments, levees or dam projects.
  • Comfort with project management tools like Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project
  • An eye for safety and compliance (OSHA 10/30 certification a plus).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that keep teams moving forward.
  • A PMP certification (or the drive to earn it within your first year here).
  • A valid driver's license and the willingness to be both in the field and in the office.

Salary Expectations:
  • This role offers a salary range of  $102,000 -$143,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
