Essential Responsibilities:
- Supports the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle including:
- Scoping – work with the project manager to initiate the project using project tools including estimates, budgeting tools, and preliminary work order requests.
- Project Kickoff – Schedule meetings and collaborate/identify other disciplines that will be involved with the project.
- Design (IFB and IFC) – Collaborate with project engineers to monitor design progress, assist in material requisitions, assist in construction service requisitions, and develop full work order authorization requests.
- Construction tracking – Document weekly construction progress calls, project change requests, requests for information, and non-conformance reports.
- Close out – Follow a closeout check list document to ensure everything is completed, documented, and shared with the appropriate disciplines before calling the project complete.
- Collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Actively support multiple project managers.
- Monitor work order audit reports.
- Monitor and close purchase orders.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Organizational skills.
- Detail Oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and prioritize tasks with competing demands.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Proficient understanding of customer service principles and practices.
- Microsoft Office experience (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Desire to learn a new industry if current experience is not in Utilities/Energy space.
- B.S./B.A. or 0-3 years of Project management experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- B.S./B.A./M.S. in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Engineering/Construction Management, Communications or similar.
- Project Management, Facilities, or Construction Management courses/certifications.
- CAPM Certification
- Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools.
- Oracle, Primavera (P6), SAP, GIS, procurement, materials management, forecasting, or engineering.
- Work experience in the Utilities/Energy industries.
- OSHA 10
