You'll play a key role in keeping projects on track by helping with:
Project Scoping: Partner with the Project Manager to kick off new projects, using tools like estimates, budgets, and preliminary work order requests.
Kickoff & Planning: Help schedule project kickoff meetings and coordinate with other departments and disciplines involved in the work.
Design Phase (IFB & IFC): Work closely with engineers to track design progress, assist with material and service requisitions, and prepare work order authorization packages.
Construction Support: Take notes during weekly construction calls, manage project change requests, document RFIs and non-conformance reports.
Project Closeout: Use a closeout checklist to make sure all loose ends are tied up, documented, and shared with the right people before wrapping up the project.
Collaboration: Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and provide support to multiple Project Managers.
Tracking & Reporting: Keep tabs on work order audits and help manage and close purchase orders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively

A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams)
A willingness to learn about the Utilities/Energy industry (if you’re not already experienced in it)
Bachelor’s degree or 0–3 years of experience in project management or a related role
Additional Preferred Skills:
B.S./B.A./M.S. in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Engineering/Construction Management, Communications, or a similar field
Coursework or certifications in Project Management, Facilities, or Construction Management
CAPM Certification
Familiarity with project management processes and tools
Experience with systems such as Oracle, Primavera (P6), SAP, GIS, procurement, materials management, forecasting, or engineering tools
Prior work experience in the Utilities or Energy industries
OSHA 10 certification
