Sound like a familia you're ready to join? Here's the details on what we are looking for in this position:
We’re seeking a Senior Project Manager with proven expertise in high-voltage transmission line or substation projects. You’ll oversee full lifecycle execution, from siting and permitting to construction and closeout, while driving schedules, managing scope, and ensuring client satisfaction.
This role demands strong leadership, technical insight, and the ability to coordinate across teams and stakeholders. You’ll be the central point of contact for project performance, reporting directly to the Lead PM.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of transmission/substation projects: planning, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout.
- Maintain strong communication between field teams, the project office, and clients.
- Drive project schedules, control scope, and manage cost forecasts and accruals.
- Develop and implement project policies, controls, and execution plans.
- Work closely with the Project Team to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and internal standards.
- Report regularly to the Lead Project Manager on construction progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring home office support
Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience managing high-voltage transmission or substation projects.
- Project management experience must include the construction phase of project execution.
- In-depth knowledge of substations and/or transmission lines, with the ability to articulate this understanding clearly.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with a wide variety of industry, government, and public contacts on project-related matters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Project Management Professional PMP certification is a plus
- Willingness to travel for projects within a 1-3 hour radius from the reporting location.
- Valid driver’s license required; must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the company’s vehicle driving privileges.
