Sound like a familia you're ready to join? Here's the details on what we are looking for in this position:
 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall management of electrical transmission projects from development to construction through closeout. This includes managing the project schedule with the scheduler using Primavera P6, manage the acquisition of environmental & real estate permits, developing detailed project cost estimates, overseeing engineering design, managing the procurement of construction labor, and managing external vendors and construction contractors in order to meet the client’s deadline.
  • Run recurring design & construction progress meetings and drive the team to meet all deliverables and stay on target.
  • Coordinate with the engineering team on equipment orders to ensure material needs by dates fit into the overall project schedule.
  • Create and manage construction bid packages. Evaluate contractor bids and recommend selections to the client.
  • Build strong relationships with the project & construction teams through regular communication and on-site visits.
  • Own and maintain project budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Track and report accruals, cost & financial updates through client systems.
  • Develop project execution plans and other appropriate deliverables that support the process to request full project authorization and funding with the client’s oversight committee.
  • Provide regular updates to the PM Supervisor & Client on progress, schedule, cost, risk, and issues.
  • Willingness to travel for projects within client service territory.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ PM experience managing transmission or distribution projects or (5) years construction management experience managing transmission or distribution projects.
  • Project management experience must include the construction phase of project execution.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with a wide variety of industry, government, and public contacts on project-related matters.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or the ability to obtain your certification within 1 year of hire. 
  • Valid driver’s license required.
